The Augusta Cotton Exchange was a centralized office which provided information about market conditions and prices. The Augusta Cotton Exchange conducted business from 1872 to 1964. The building was built in 1886 by the architect Enoch William Brown and the contractor William Henry Goodrich. The building was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
