Sixteen exposed dry plates featuring pictures of African American families and individuals, the tombstone of Crawford W. Long, and three persons in front of a dam and mill pond.

This collection apparently contains materials intended for a project entitled, Towards a History of Athens, Georgia. The provenance of the collection is uncertain. Given its small size, its original compiler may have intended to include other materials.
