Biographical / Historical

Name of Creator: Lee, Joseph (Jodie or Joe) M. III (-d. July 17, 2020) Material was donated by Joseph Lee IV (son) to the Augusta-Richmond County Library on May 17, 2022. While residing most of his life in Decatur and Covington, Georgia, as a native son of Augusta, Lee’s research interests centered on Augusta, Georgia and he had a respected reputation in the Augusta history community. He was very active in local history organizations; the Augusta Genealogy Society, the Augusta History Society, the Augusta Museum of History and the United Spanish War Veteran’s Association.
