Founded in 1945, the original mission of the Augusta Players was “to [afford] opportunity for individual self- expression and development of creative abilities. (Augusta Chronicle November 11, 1945), This sentiment is expanded in the group’s present mission statement and its goal to present quality theatre remains intact. The group premiere on November 15-16 presented “Kind Lady”: a drama in three acts by Edward Chodorov.
