Several members of the Bones family appear to have migrated from Ireland to various places in Georgia and South Carolina. However, certain lines of this family have strong Augusta connections, having lived and done business here. It appears that some of the last descendants recorded in the narrative include the Whitney family of Augusta Georgia.

This may be a copy of the original manuscript as the paper is thin enough to suggest it is a carbon copy. However, the typescript is black and very legible.
