1938 Maids and a Man (Tubman High School, Augusta, Ga.) yearbook showing senior picture of Dorothy; two (2) 1938 graduation programs from Tubman High School naming Dorothy; navy blue wool nursing cape c. 1945 showing UH (University Hospital) embroidered on the collar. The cape is lined in red with “Dorothy Shipes” embroidered on the lining; one (1) gold class ring showing ’45 and skull and crossbones insignia; four (4) Tubman High School reunion photos; Tubman High School reunion name tag for “Dorothy (Dot) Anderson Jung” showing senior class photo of Dorothy.

Biographical / Historical
Nursing cape and class ring were donated by Susan June Kreitlow on July 15, 2022. The Tubman High School yearbook, graduation programs, and reunion photos were donated on January 4, 2023 by Linda Jung.
Agnes Dorothy Anderson was born on 8 October 1922 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia. She attending Tubman High School and graduated in 1938. She married Charles Franklin “Snookie” Snipes sometime between 1940-1942. She entered Barrett Nursing School at University Hospital on 29 September 1942 and was admitted to the WWII Cadet Nursing Corp on 1 July 1943. She graduated in 1945. Charles Snipes died tragically in a motorcycle accident in 27 May 1945. Dorothy later married Walter Jung. She died on 21 December 2005 and is buried in the family plot at Harlem Memorial Cemetery in Columbia County, Georgia.
