John P. King (d. March 19,1888) was a lawyer, judge, United States Senator, and the forty-year president of the Georgia Rail Road and Banking Company
Joseph B. Cumming (d, May 15, 1922) was a prominent Augusta lawyer and gifted speaker.
Charles C. Jones Jr (1831-1893). is considered the foremost Georgia historian of the nineteenth century. He spent his final years at Montrose (The Alan Fuqua Center) in Augusta, Georgia.
