John Edward Tabb (October 22, 1925 – June 25, 2011) was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia who graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in May, 1941. During WWII, Tabb appears to have trained as a machinist mate at the US Naval Air Station in Jacksonville Florida. The photograph implies that he served as a member of a Naval flight crew.

According to his obituary, he entered the world of insurance and financial advising in 1954. He was a member of the Augusta Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. An award, The John E. Tabb Award, was created in his honor to recognize outstanding members of the association.
