Biographical / Historical

United Free Press was born "in large part to the apparent unwillingness of local newspapers and radio stations to report certain kinds of news, especially news which reflects discontent with the manner in which the public business of Athens is conducted." It was a mimeographed monthly published by both black and white residents.
