Biographical / Historical

Edited and published by Ann E. Lewis, Georgia Magazine was based in Decatur. It is not the same publication that would, from 1990 onward, use the title, Georgia Magazine, which was originally titled Rural Georgia (that magazine is available from the Digital Library of Georgia: https://dlg.usg.edu/collection/dlg_gaemc). Ann E. Lewis would go on to launch Georgia Life magazine, beginning in 1974, as a "granddaughter" (as she puts it in the first issue of that magazine) of the original Georgia Magazine.
