This collection has no restrictions. This collection is open to the public. Library policy on photography and photocopying will apply. Advance notice may be required. Apply in the Heritage Room for access. The exception is the Order of the Eastern Star collection, the directories included in which list the personal addresses and phone numbers of members. These directories are not available to the public.

Biographical / Historical

John C. Waters, at the time director of the Historic Preservation Program at the University of Georgia's School of Environmental Design, proposed the creation of an Athens House Museum. The long-term activities of the Association established to meet this goal are not clear from the limited documents in this collection.
