The collection spans from 1938 to 2001, the bulk of which dates from ca. 1952 to 2001, and contains articles, programs, and other publications related to the medical career of Dr. Asa G. Yancey, his contributions to healthcare in Atlanta, and the history of African American healthcare workers including Dr. Charles R. Drew, under whom Yancey studied.

Scope and Contents The Harmon Perry Collection consists of images taken by photographer Harmon Perry, who worked for the Atlanta Daily World and as a reporter of the Atlanta Journal. The photographs in this collection are of Atlanta social life, politicians, educators and everyday snapshots of people in Atlanta from the 1960s to the 1980s.
