Scope and Contents
The collection contains manuals for City Clerk (1971), Peachtree City Code Ordinances (1980), inventories and lists of neighborhoods, businesses, churches, schools, and other miscellaneous city records (ca. 1970s - 1990s).
Box 1
Two copies of 1980 Peachtree City Code Ordinances, and lists of
Peachtree City neighborhoods with either residents or underdevelopment
lots between 1970 to 1991. These documents recorded various information such as neighborhood population, names of residents,
construction companies, and pending development of subdivisions with project maps. Additional miscellaneous documents include Domestic Pet
Ordinance (1977) and Peachtree City Council Meeting Notes (1978).
Box 2
Records pertaining to zoning ordinances amended in 1977, street design
and construction specifications adopted in February 1,1979, and subdivision regulations adopted in March 1,1979. Additional material
includes two city clerk manuals from 1971.

Biographical / Historical
Sources: Gift of Frances Meaders, date unknown Frances Meaders held the office of City Clerk for Peachtree City from May 1973 to January 1995. She was certified as a Municipal Clerk on April 5, 1979. Frances was the longest-serving person in this position, and one of the first Peachtree City employees.
